Encrypted Data

1. In an embodiment of the present invention, an XOR operation may be performed on the key stream and the encrypted data so as to decrypt the encrypted data.

Plaintext Block

Xor Operation

1. The message is encrypted, for example, by performing the XOR operation between corresponding bits of the message and the pseudo-random sequence of bits b(i).
2. The message is decrypted by performing the XOR operation between corresponding bits of the encrypted message and the pseudo-random sequence of bits b(i).
3. The first block of plaintext in an encryption session is combined with an IV using an XOR operation and is then encrypted.
