1. Carcinomas are characterized by cells that cover internal and external parts of the body such as lung, breast, and colon cancer.
2. Follicular carcinomas are often fast growing and may invade other tissues, but the outlook is still good -- most patients are cured.
3. Metastatic carcinomas (breast, prostate) are a common tumor that metastasizes to the bone marrow in man, but not in animals.
4. Papillary carcinomas are usually slower growing.
5. Follicular carcinomas are the second most common thyroid cancers (~15 %).
